Eating Disorders Programme
Progress provides qualified, discrete and well supervised primary and secondary care for eating disorders. Our belief is in an integrative programme drawing upon a variety of proven therapeutic models. We are committed to comprehensive care planning, addressing behavioural, social and psychological areas in order to achieve a realistic goal or outcome. We also provide nutritional guidance and exercise therapies, targeting well-being and self care. We work with a nutritional therapist who has expertise with eating disorders, and is on the committee for the NICE Guidelines on Obesity (in process), we are also assisted by sport and exercise therapists.

The Maudsley Model
Progress follows The Maudsley Model of outpatient treatment for Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa. The counsellors have also trained in eating disorders, obesity counselling and nutritional management at the National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCfED). The NCfED is a stakeholder in the recently published NICE Guidelines for Eating Disorders, and the Guidelines on Obesity. We are committed to ongoing training at institutions such as the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and are regular participants at conferences on eating disorders and obesity.
